Diane Ying 殷允芃
Founder, Chairman and Editor-in-Chief, CommonWealth Magazine Group.
Ms. Ying co-founded CommonWealth Magazine, Taiwan’s most influential political-economic magazine in 1981. She has received many awards, including the Ramon Magsaysay Award for uplifting professional journalism standards in Taiwan. She was elected in 1995 by Asiaweek as one of the most influential women in Asia, for her contribution in the media business. She is a writer of eight books and director of award winning documentary films. She is active in the field of cultural, educational and economic affairs.
For social contribution, she served as a member of the National Unification Commission, the National Educational Reform Commission, the National Economic Reform Commission. And she was elected as the Chairman of ROC Taiwan National Committee of the International Press Institute (IPI) during 1997-2005.
Prior to the founding of CommonWealth Magazine, she was a veteran journalist, serving as correspondent for the Asian Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, UPI, the Philadelphia Inquirer among other international news organizations. She also taught journalism at the National Chengchi University for 20 years.
She studied English Literature at National Chengkung University in Taiwan, and received master degree in journalism from the University of Iowa, Iowa City, USA. She was chosen as a Distinguished Alumnus in 1997 by U of I, and received Special Contribution Award by Ministry of Culture in 2012.

殷允芃，現任天下雜誌群(包括天下雜誌、康健雜誌、CHEERS雜誌、親子天下雜誌及天下雜誌出版事業)創辦人、董事長兼總編集長。
她所積極投入領導的刊物，在1981年創立天下雜誌開始，即堅持新聞專業與品質，為台灣社會，甚至華人世界，提供前瞻、公正、富啟發性的深入新聞報導，是一片喧嘩的社會中一束冷靜而溫暖的聲音。在新聞媒體競相低俗化的時刻，天下雜誌群仍排除萬難，堅定的為提昇社會的品質和品味而努力。在快速變化的台灣社會中，天下雜誌四十年來，一直扮演廣被尊重的有公信力的角色。
殷允芃數十年來對新聞界的專注投入及影響貢獻，已獲得許多國內外的肯定，包括「十大傑出女青年」、成功大學傑出校友、美國IOWA大學傑出校友，多次金鼎獎主編及公共服務獎。一九八七年獲得有亞洲諾貝爾獎之稱的「麥格塞塞新聞獎」，得獎的評語是「由殷允芃擔任發行人兼總編輯，天下的創刊，帶來了台灣財經報導方式及素質的改善，也成為推動台灣經濟進步的重要力量。天下是第一個以新聞專業精神製作的高品質雜誌而成功的案例。」紐約時報則稱讚天下雜誌是「反映台灣經濟成長的鏡子」。
近年來，更以｢對新聞出版專業有特殊成就與貢獻、對新聞倫理之堅持與執著，足堪推崇｣，於二0一一年獲得卓越新聞獎首屆終身成就獎，及二0一二年金鼎獎特別貢獻獎。
歷年來天下雜誌所報導出版的「一同走過從前」、「孫運璿傳」、「發現台灣」、「環境台灣」、「海闊天空教育專刊」、「影響200」、「319鄉向前行」、｢微笑台灣｣、｢成長400｣、｢美麗台灣 走一條不同的路｣等專書及紀錄片，已成為瞭解台灣歷史、經濟、環境、地方及人才培育等領域的經典參考。
殷允芃和她所領導的天下雜誌群工作同仁，數十年來為推動台灣社會的進步，默默耕耘，也常在關鍵時刻發揮重大的積極影響力。
除早期擔任「紐約時報」、「亞洲華爾街日報」等國際媒體記者的英文報導寫作外，殷允芃曾出版｢發現台灣｣、「敬天愛人」、「素直的心」、「等待英雄」、「點燈的人」、｢中國人的光輝｣等多本中文著作。
